Diez cosas que debe saber sobre los IEPs


Durante más de 30 años, a los niños con discapacidades se les ha garantizado el derecho a una Educación Pública Gratuita y Apropiada (FAPE). Todos los padres son participantes iguales en el desarrollo del Plan de Educación Individualizado (IEP) para su hijo de acuerdo con la ley, pero los IEP pueden ser confusos y muy estresantes para los padres. Ya sea que su hijo recién esté comenzando en el sistema de educación especial, pasando de una escuela a otra, o simplemente necesite un repaso, este taller será beneficioso para usted. Los participantes aprenderán las diez cosas de "conocimiento" sobre los IEPs para empoderarlos para que sean los mejores defensores de sus hijos.

This event is free, but more importantly, this 2 day training opportunity gives participants a chance to engage directly with the presenters who are leaders in their fields.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Parents who are new to the Special Education process interested in taking the next steps towards collaborating as parent leaders.
There are a limited number of spots available for this training so please register early.

Lodging and meals included for accepted applicants. There is NO childcare for this event.

Therapist Thursdays: Tips and Tools to Supporting Little Ones at Home, PEATC Webinar Series

Many of us with young children have been looking for easy ways to work on skill building during this extended time at home. How do we work on therapies in our homes? Do we have the tools in place? Where do we even begin?

Join us each Thursday as an early childhood specialist shares SIMPLE and FUN ideas on how to build skills and activities into our everyday routines. Each session is approx.. 15 minutes + time for Q&A.
