A NEW Webinar presented by Catherine Adams, Education Consultant with the ADHD Resource Group of No VA and Parenting by Heart founder Rachel Bailey
Nov 12, 2014
Our latest webinar, "Supporting the Siblings in the Family with ADHD Children", is now available on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5xQGesRuxA

Supporting siblings of children diagnosed with ADHD and other learning differences is just as important and often just as challenging as supporting those who have been diagnosed. This webinar will focus on the sibling perspective and will offer strategies for effective family engagement and sibling support. We will also discuss when and where to find outside services that provide parenting strategies to minimize the stress often associated with the challenges of raising children with ADHD and their “unaffected” siblings.

Topics included in this presentation:

- The importance of family roles and how they are reinforced

- Five needs which influence sibling’s feelings and behavior;

- Realistic and reasonable expectations for siblings;

- Strategies for positively engaging and supporting siblings;

- When and how to find outside support for parents and children

Hosted by PEATC and NoVaDC CHADD
