The Virginia Department of Education announces the following parent workshop opportunity: "Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)"; What Parents/Advocates Need to Understand About This Process and "Monitoring Behavior at Home"; What Parents Can Do to Address Behaviors at Home

DATE: June 26, 2017

TIME: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. with on-site registration beginning at 9:30 a.m.

LOCATION: James Monroe Building – First Floor, Conference Rooms C, D, and E
101 N. 14th Street
Richmond, Virginia 23219

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This training is designed specifically for parents who have students who exhibit difficulties in managing their behavior at school and at home. Advocates and other community stakeholders who work with parents of students with behavior difficulties are also invited and encouraged to participate in this training.

FEES and COST: There is no registration fee for this training and mileage and parking expenses will be reimbursed. A box lunch will also be provided. Any hotel expenses incurred by participants are at their own responsibility.
