Summer Camps - 2002 

Below is a list that PEATC has compiled of some summer camps in and around Virginia.  The Respite Resource Project at the Virginia Institute for Developmental Disabilities (VIDD) at VCU has developed a more extensive list and it can be ordered directly from them.

Camp Jordan - Established by the West Central Richmond Optimist Club and Dr. William R. Jordan, Camp Jordan continues to provide a fun and exciting camp experience for children learning to manage their diabetes, with the supervision of trained counselors, nurses and doctors - Richmond, VA - 800-566-1496.

Camp Fantastic, Northern Virginia 4H Center, Front Royal - For cancer patients ages 7-17; one one-week session - Free - 540-667-3774 - http://www.speciallove.org  

Camp Holiday Trails - Charlottesville - Children with medical needs like diabetes, asthma, HIV which require medication daily, ages 7-18 - 434-977-3781.
